Bearek Shuman - Player of the Game

by NAL Media

The Fall Sports Tour checked another city off the list when it stopped in East Helena for the Laurel Locomotives and the East Helena Vigilantes under Friday Night Lights!
A 3-2 team taking on a 4-1 team looked appealing on paper, but to the surprise of many, the Vigilantes played like a team possessed in a 35-0 statement win over the Locomotives.
East Helena scored on each of its first FIVE possessions and those would be all they needed in this one.
The real backbreaker for Laurel came in the 2nd quarter. East Helena found the endzone again to go up 3 scores but on the following Laurel possession, they were moving the ball well downfield!
That was until an interception stopped it in Vigilante territory.
And who would be responsible for derailing the Locomotives?
Bearek Shuman!
The 6’2” senior got an early birthday present in the form of a “Never Have I Ever Beat Laurel”, and that interception was just ONE play of his highlight reel performance!
5 total touchdowns
3 through the air to 2 different receivers
2 on the ground
1 interception
And one pass batted down to a fellow defender for ANOTHER interception
It was the kind of performance befitting of first ever Vigilante Player of the Game!
Congratulations East Helena and congratulations Bearek! Your FAN Show Player of the Game!
